...is one of the most innovative musician/ composer/ vocalist/ guitarists in today's scene.
Devin has released a plethora of different projects, and is one crazed, HARD-WORKING mother F-er.
His projects are certainly varied and each have their own sound, but all are linked together by his Unique Musical Vision.
Some of the common threads weaving the material together:

~ a profound sonic assault of white noise-based aural soundscapes
~ constantly shifting often complex rhythms
~ wildly arranged song-structures

and most importantly;
~ strange melodic concoctions which are often powerful and dense enough to be described as
'Soul-Stirring' and even (gulp) 'Beautiful' or 'Inspiring'.
Believe it.
Alternately, there is never a shortage of BRUTAL ENERGY here;
there is plenty of angst and manic aggro-brutality to balance the menu as well.

The basis for this stuff is PURE metal sense, with a serious progressive/ hardcore EDGE.
'Hevy Devy' consistently works with top-notch musicians and is quite the perfectionist.
He works extensively, intensively and possibly even obsessively on these projects
and could he, possibly even without guilt or repercussion, be bestowed with the moniker
The Zappa of Metal?
Possibly, considering that 2 degrees of separation puts him right there,
having added vocals to Steve Vai's 'Sex And Religion' disc.
