First of all, my friends, any band with a song entitled The Return of The Giant Hogweed
simply must have something grand going on upstairs.
Secondly, anyone who doesn't like Progressive Rock should just sit down, Shut Up, and CRANK UP
Dance On A Volcano
from "A Trick Of The Tail" (1976)
{VERY VERY LOUD - BIG BIG WOOFERS}
and just THRIVE on the INTENSITY.
Finally, and with all due respect, most of the material released following the departure of Steve Hackett
wasn't worth enough of a crap (as a whole) to warrant any further discussion here at Tangento.net.
I mean, Illegal Alien? I Can't Dance?
...As the Brits commonly proclaim, BOLLOCKS!
I hope none of you are 'unenlightened' enough to think "That's All" this band was capable of.*
As always, my opinions are not meant to offend or insult any of the fans or members of this fine band, this is just the way I see it.

That said, this was easily the Finest Band of the Seventies Progressive Rock movement.
Genesis Albums and Live Shows were marked by superior musicianship and wildly inventive stage performances,
especially during the Peter Gabriel era.
This band's 'earlier' output was thoroughly imaginative, solid, thought-provoking music.
There exists a great wealth of detailed and in-depth websites about this magical band, so scroll down and explore.
